My backyard in the woods in athens, georgia. I edited out the neighbor's dogs barking and a passing plane. Recorded with a tascam dr40.

This is a part two to the first version i made. This one has a lot more going on but sounds really awesome! can't wait to see how you guys use this in your projects.

Recorded in kanawha state forest in west virginia on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Brought down creek noise with rx8 de-noise but still a little running water in the background. Free use.

New zealand native bellbird (korimako). Recorded on kapiti island, a bird sanctuary on the west coast of the north island, nz. Recording was made at some feeder stations set up for the native stitchbird (hihi) but it seems that the bellbird was the predominant species on the day. This is in a light forest setting with a large number of birds moving around calling.

A semi-rare and priceless recording (at least to me) of a whippoorwill; a bird who, unfortunately, is declining in many areas of the country. This recording contains more hiss than many of my existing nature recordings, but i still want to post it so you can get sample of this wonderful signature sound of summer woods at dusk. Recording made in the shawnee national forest in late may of 2010 using my zoom h4n recorder. I used an audio technica at8035. I was trying out this microphone. This particular microphone does have a narrow acceptance angle, which is probably 1 reason for the hissiness. Still, go out in the summer woods around dusk sometime and maybe you will get lucky and hear this beautiful little bird whose distinctive calls have livened up the woods for generations of many youngsters – including me!.

A recording made in the shawnee national forest in illinois on the very first day of october, 2022. This recording was made at mid-afternoon and features the peaceful, pleasant wind through the deciduous trees. From time to time though, the soft call of a nuthatch or a chickadee reminds us there is still bird life in the early autumn woods. Birds getting ready, getting stocked up for the upcoming northern assaults of cold air this winter. Some crows really start to put on a show towards the end of this stereo recording. The ambience takes place in a forest near madrid, on october, 2015. The sound is the reproduction of footsteps of a runner approaching. The effect that is produced is like a doppler effect, but i didn't change the recording. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. The sound can be used as a background resource. I wanted to capture tramp of feet on gravel moving away, as a typical sound to be used in stories.

Dusk in the midwest during the summer is usually dominated by insects, but, the wood thrush often sings around dusk, making quite a unique natural soundscape. This wood thrush was recorded on may 26, 2012 at 7:45p. M. Using a rode ntg-2 microphone going into my handy zoom h4n recorder.

Common terns are pale gray overall with a black cap. Breeding birds have a fully black cap that extends to the back of the neck and a gray belly. Terns comes from lac des chanteraines next to paris. I love listen to terns next to highway. It’s a pretty shocking contrast of noise pollution.
